Elves Chasm —The name given to the portion of Royal Arch Canyon below the travertine formation. Entry into this part is possible only from the river, and overland access is difficult. It is a popular stop for the rafting trips and famous for exceptional beauty. A constant flow of water cascading over a series of falls and dripping from sidewalls creates a miniature tropical setting. See notes on Elves Chasm Route.
