Rock Garden
  Stairway Canyon — This is a major fault alignment, and when hiking this section east-to-west the topography makes a structural transition here with only a narrow band of slope at the same level, and a much lower slickrock surface below. There are options to continue at the level or descend to the slickrock, and the general agreement is the descent from the rim along the fault-line is the better option. As the name implies, Stairway is a relatively short drainage with a series of distinct levels, and offers a spectacular view downcanyon.

Routes — Downriver to Big Point and Cove Canyon; upriver to Willow Canyon.
