Rock Garden
  Scorpion Bay — This tiny bay is a surprisingly easy transition from the Monadnock area to the Crystal area. Very often, narrow places make for difficult terrain, but not here. Only 1 hour hiking from west to east on a clear track. The nameless side-canyon to the east is a very appealing place where the streambed is a good access to the river at Willies Necktie Rapid.

Routes — Part of the Tuna/Shinumo Loop in GCLH-I. Downriver to Monadnock Canyon; upriver to Tuna Canyon.

2004 October - Camp 4 in ravine below the east arm of the bay. Pothole water in Tapeats from recent rain. Continuing up onto the shelf above the upper Tonto cliff for faster travel going east.
